Several years ago, John and Sharon attended a Chile Pepper festival in Pennsylvania where they were exposed to a variety of foods made with different types of hot peppers. Some of these foods were spicy chocolates, sauces, ice creams, and peanut brittles. They were amazed at the variety of spicy foods out there and the amount of customers these products brought in. At this time the idea for their newest product was born.
In 1997, one of their daughters brought home a peanut brittle recipe from her high school foods class. John and Sharon's idea for a new product then became a reality. With several alterations to this recipe, John's spicy nut brittle was created. John uses dehydrated habanero peppers in all of his recipes (unless you request NO heat). Their first success was a spicy peanut brittle.
Over time, John and Sharon's creativity helped them to expand their product and create numerous types of nut brittles. Currently John's bestseller is a Cashew Creamsicle brittle. This is a cashew brittle over a layer of orange flavored white chocolate. John experiments with a variety of nuts, chocolates and flavors to continue his quest for new products.
With John's love for spicy foods, and his natural competitive nature, he has entered his brittles in many competitions. John has won numerous awards including the following ... view awards
